Our product range and services include:

Medkonsult (Pty) Ltd presently have approximately 5 000 members with medical schemes that are administered by Medscheme and another 5 000 with alternative administrators.

Management / Shareholders

The dedicated Directors and staff of Medkonsult (Pty) Ltd collectively boast with 35 years of formal experience and expertise in their respective fields i.e. administration of medical aid schemes, marketing, finance, human resources and advisory services.

The current shareholders, directors and senior management is as follows:

• Mrs Sharon Allison - Managing Director (Shareholder/Director)
• Mr Nic Lubbe - Financial Manager/Compliance Officer

Personnel

MedKonsult (Pty) Ltd employs personnel from all communities who are trained in order to meet with the growing needs of South Africa.

Information Technology

Our Information Technology requirements are supplied by a well-known company (BMS) that will allow MedKonsult (Pty) Ltd to remain at the forefront of new developments within the environment and also ensures that system amendments and improvements are completed timeously to meet the ever-changing needs of all South Africans.

Security

Due to the nature of our business, which includes dealing with a leading bankers services company, our internal control systems are reviewed regularly to ensure safety and confidentiality of all data under our control.

The company is covered for any loss which may arise due to negligence or dishonesty of its employees, and is reviewed annually.

The company is audited on an annual basis by an independent firm of registered accountants and auditors.

Legislation

MedKonsult (Pty) Ltd has successfully obtained the legislated license from the Financial Services Board (FSB No.17846) and has complied with requirements of the FAIS and FICA Acts. Moonstone (André Steyn) is the compliance organization contracted to oversee the compliancy procedures of MedKonsult (Pty) Ltd and the network brokers.

MedKonsult (Pty) Ltd has been fully accredited as an Organisation (ORG1259) with the Council of Medical Schemes and is a member if the Financial Planning Institute.
